BIO

Formed in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 2012, Cattle are a four-piece, double drum and bass noise rock outfit. They deliver a sludgy, low-end rhythm section combined with ‘through the teeth’ vocals and walls of saturated psychedelic noise.
Cattle is comprised of Ant (drums), Steve (drums), Chris (vocals) and Tom (bass). Influenced by classic Am Rep bands such as the Jesus Lizard and Helmet, along with other noise stalwarts such as Lightning Bolt and Harvey Milk, Cattle combine noise rock, hardcore and psych influences to try and create something unique and inimitable. This individual sound has meant that the band has been welcomed on all manner of diverse bills and have avoided being lumped in to one particular music scene.

Cattle’s first, self-titled EP was released in January 2013. The band took the time to produce the recording themselves then self-released it. Cattle above all enjoy creating music without external interference.

Since their first EP was released, Cattle has been busy sharing stage with the likes of True Widow, Morkobot, Eagle Twin, Hammers, Zeus!, Palehorse, Retox, The Cosmic Dead, and Shit & Shine amongst others, playing shows at festivals, basement house parties and bars alike.

A full length release is expected in 2015, along with a split with close Leeds friends, Katnip.
